Tips for Cheap Flights

Choose a Return Ticket. The cheaper fares often apply to return tickets.
Include a Weekend. Most of the lower fares require a Saturday night stay.
Book Early. In most cases the earlier you book the cheaper the ticket. Some fares require no advance purchase at all.
Travel on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday. These are generally the least expensive days to fly.
Choose an Unpopular City Airport. Sometimes there are a number of airports in a city. The fare tends to be cheaper when you choose smaller airports in a city, but you may have a longer trip from the airport to the city centre.
Fly Early Morning or Late Evening. Flights that leave at unsociable hours often have much lower fares. Avoid peak hours such as 7:30 for flights to Europe from the UK or midday for flights from the UK to the USA.
Use the Same Airline for Whole Journey. You may be offered flights and prices where there is more than 1 airline that make up the journey. These flights will generally be more expensive than others.
Check Fares on All Airlines. Make sure you check all airlines for the lowest prices.
